Mostly used as flame retardant synergies in plastics, rubber, textiles, adhesives and many more objects, our Antimony Trioxide flame retardant is also used by glass and paint manufacturers. These are incessantly demanded in the domestic market as well as the foreign front owing to its application in the following:
  • Fire retardant in the membranes of plastics industry and the enclosures of electric devices and household electric appliances such as PVC, PR PE, PS, ABS, PU, etc.
  • Filling, covering agents and retardants for rubber, ceramics, enamels, fabrics and fiber products.
  • Colors and retardants in oil paint and coating material industry..
  • Retardants in synthetic resin and papers.
  • Catalytic agent in organic synthesis.

Zinc Borate


Commercial Name: ZB fire-retardant | Chemical name: Low Water Zinc Borate | General Formula: 2ZnO.3B2O3.3.5H2O Zinc Borate can be used as afire retardant in PVC, Polyolefins, Elastomers, Polyamides, Epoxy resins. In halogen-containing systems, Zinc Borate is used in conjunction with antimony oxide, while in halogen-free systems, it is normally used in conjunction with aluminium trihydrate, magnesium hydroxide, or red phosphorus. In some particular application Zinc Borate can be used alone.

Magnesium Hydroxide is Non-Halogenated, High thermal stable & non corrosive smoke suppressant and acid scavenger. Its high thermal stability - up to 340C enables its use where Aluminum trihydrate is not sufficiently stable. Magnesium Hydroxide provides flame retardance through FIVE mechanisms:
  • Magnesium Hydroxide produces more char than ATH resulting in increased effectiveness and less smoke.
  • Magnesium Hydroxide dilutes the amount of fuel available to sustain combustion.
  • Magnesium Hydroxide during combustion, generates highly reflective magnesium oxide coating which deflects the flame's heat away from the polymer.
  • Magnesium Hydroxide contains 31 % bound water which is released beginning at 330" C and blankets the flame to limit oxygen available for combustion.
  • Magnesium Hydroxide absorbs 17% more heat from the combustion zone than ATH to reduce the prospect of continued burning.
